Slow food is good, slow life is great, slow internet Sucks!
The Mexican goverment makes internet available for free at the library and at the plaza you can get free wifi, so you can sit and sip your coffee and update your statues on every social media page 🙂
But the speed has a ways to go, especially in more rural areas like where I am currently. Most of it is thru DSL connections.
I was okay with DSL until a few weeks ago something happened to the overall speed, it was ridiculosly slow to the point that it took an hour to load my facebook page! and I use facebook as an example because I am not sure what code they use, but their content usually loads pretty fast on any device.
I went to every cyber cafe in town and the library but the speed was all the same. I looked into going to a nearby town to do my internet stuff, but that would mean paying a bus ticket and while that is not all that expensive arund here, it is still not something I wanted to spend more money on. While I have on this sabbatical, I am making every effort to be thrifty, as I have very little income coming in and I want to be able to accomplish all the things I set out out to do, including buying a guitar, more on that later… anyways so I decided I would focus on other things and just wait and see what would happen with internet access, luckily a few days ago one of the cyber cafes did something and upgraded their internet to normal speed, so excuseme I have some cute cat videos I need to go watch, its been far too long!
